Specialising in care for diverse needs, Genista provides culturally driven care for its residents. Located in Greystanes in Sydney’s Southwest, our residence has a longstanding connection to the Italian community and is supported by a multilingual team who speak Italian along with English.
Creating a culture of care is fundamental to our way of operating at Genista. Through our many years of involvement within the aged care sector we know how important food and cultural familiarity are to residents at our facility. That’s why we offer Italian meal options and create an environment where residents can communicate comfortably and maintain their cultural identity, while receiving high-quality care and support.

We strive to foster an environment where our residents feel comfortable and cared for. Many of our activities are led by staff members with an Italian background. This ensures residents can engage in their preferred language. We have Italian-speaking allied health professionals, including dietitians, speech pathologists, audiologists and podiatrists.
The Italian culture means a lot to our residents. We ensure that care is delivered in a culturally appropriate manner. Our menus include authentic Italian dishes, freshly prepared to suit residents’ tastes and their individual dietary needs and requirements.
