We are here to walk beside you – at home or in residence – offering understanding, respect for your story, and a place where you always feel seen, valued, and at home. Our first aged care home was founded in Strathfield in 1984. It was conceived as a hub for members of Sydney’s South Asian community to receive culturally specific care.
In addition to providing the community with care that aligned with their cultural values, Strathfield became a space for them to maintain community relationships as they aged. Since then, we’ve grown to include dedicated and passionate Aged Care experts who provide support in the home along with full-time support across our residences.

Since 1984, our family has been part of the aged care community – supporting older people with compassion, respect, and the belief that every senior deserves to feel valued and cared for.
Growing up in this environment, our CEOs witnessed the impact that genuine, culturally respectful care could have on people’s lives.
It wasn’t just work; it was a way of life.

Logan's connection to aged care began early. He and his cousin, Kieran, are the sons of Nirmalan and Sundar, who together established Aequra's first residence in Strathfield in 1984.
